CeMAT INDIA 2009

Mumbai: This year Hannover Milano Fairs India will organize its four industrial trade fairs in Mumbai from 10 to 13 December 2009.

“Our exhibitors want their trade show participation to bring them closer to the user industries. In view of the vastness of the country, this goal cannot be achieved at one single venue. For this reason we have decided to relocate our industrial fairs to Mumbai this year. However, this does not mean that we are completely turning our backs on Bangalore – it simply indicates that we are considering a strategy of alternating between Mumbai and Bangalore in order to reach the country’s most important industrial regions and diverse catchment areas”, explains Wolfgang Lenarz, Director of Deutsche Messe Global Fairs.

The four concurrent fairs to be held in December 2009 include:
MDA INDIA - Motion, Drive and Automation Hydraulics and Pneumatics
CeMAT INDIA - Materials handling and Logistics
Industrial Automation INDIA
Energy INDIA - Solutions for Energy Efficiency, Renewable Energy and Captive                         Power Plants

“Shifting the shows from Bangalore to Mumbai is aimed at providing larger market access to exhibitors. The new visitor groups those can be attracted in Mumbai cover chemical and process industries, ports, warehousing, railways, airport authorities, food processing and packaging industry, textile industry, plastic and rubber machinery, infrastructure and diverse manufacturing and services.

Further, Mumbai’s proximity to other cities like Pune, Nasik, Aurangabad, Ahmedabad, Kolhapur, Baroda and Surat, to name a few, adds to its market size. Mumbai being the seat of many a corporate houses, the decision making power is largely concentrated in Mumbai “adds Sudhir Patil, Managing Director, Hannover Milano Fairs India Pvt Ltd

The shows will be held in Mumbai at the Bombay Exhibition Centre (BEC), Western Express Highway, Goregaon East, Mumbai 400 063 (www.nesco.in). BEC is the most prominent exhibition venue in Mumbai and is conveniently connected by air, rail and road.

In the face of the current crisis in the world financial market, India remains one of the strongest growth economies. Expected GDP growth of 7% in India is matter of envy for many countries. The turnaround in the global economic situation expected in the last quarter of 2009 synchronizes perfectly with the show timing.

These shows will be an ideal B2B platform for showcasing new range of products and services and to interact with the existing and potential customers who would be making decisions for new investments and stepping up the production. One cannot miss this opportunity of remaining in touch with their existing and potential customers at such a crucial phase. Further adds Patil.

Hannover Fairs India is a subsidiary of the two of the largest trade fair companies from Europe Deutsche Messe AG, Germany and Fiera Milano, Italy. This group of trade fair companies brings their international contacts and expertise to Indian market for the advantage of exhibitors and visitors.
